About UnitVR — the team behind the VR arcade software

The team that builds UnitVR

UnitVR is not an off-the-shelf box and not somebody else's system resold. It is a platform built from scratch by our own engineers — every line of code is ours, from the software inside the headset to the owner dashboard.

02 How it started

How it all started

We have worked with VR since 2020, starting with our own VR applications and the first generation of standalone headsets. That gave us something rare on this market: we know the platform not as users but as engineers — down to the Android system settings inside Pico and Quest.

When we began installing headsets in venues, the problem became obvious: putting games on a headset is easy, running a floor is not. No single panel, no rates or session timers, no way to stop play without payment, and every headset updated by hand. That is how UnitVR started — not a bundle of games, but an operating system for a VR venue.

Today the same people who started it still write it — no outsourcing, no subcontractors. Every change a venue asks for reaches production from the same engineer who wrote the original code.

founder of UnitVR, engineer

I have worked with VR since 2020: first my own VR applications, then the software inside Pico and Meta Quest headsets, the operator panel and the owner account of UnitVR. These articles cover what I deal with myself: setting up headsets, running a floor, the economics of a venue.
